Righton Fasteners: Tailored customer solutions 23 April 2020

Established in 1980, Righton Fasteners – a specialist fastener supplier – is able to collaborate with a diverse and loyal customer base on projects, long-term contracts, as well as tailored solutions.

A division of Hexstone, the UK’s largest independently owned wholesaler of industrial fasteners, Righton Fasteners is able to supply A2 and A4 stainless steel, brass, and carbon steel, fasteners along with higher grade alloy and plastic fasteners, both standards and specials.

The company works with OEMs, tier suppliers, and end user customers, in the construction, electronics, offshore, transport and power generation markets.

“We are synonymous with quality products and have gained a reputation for first class customer service,” states Nicola Mallin, general manager at Righton Fasteners. “As a business we are also able to provide a wide range of additional services to our customers and always look to work closely with them to find solutions to all their needs.”

Tailored customer solutions
Righton Fasteners strives to be more than simply a material supplier to its customers. Having recognised the need for a ‘total supply package’, Righton Fasteners has developed long-term customer and supplier partnerships, with the specific aim of reducing customers’ overall acquisition costs and lead times.

Managed supply solutions
Righton Fasteners proudly offers a managed supply service tailored specifically to the needs of the customer. The customised ordering system provides coordination of procurement and inventory management to ensure products are ready to despatch. As a supplier of Kanban systems, the company also looks to improve the efficiency of its warehouse operations whilst keeping inventory costs to a minimum.

Bespoke packing service
Supported by its range of manual, semi-automated and fully automated packing machines, Righton Fasteners also offers bespoke packing and kitting of mixed products. This allows the company to pack single and multiple items into boxes, as well as grip seal or heat sealed bags. Righton Fasteners can also label or print directly onto the bag, displaying product details, logos, and barcoding, according to customers’ design specifications. This helps save customers resource time and money.

Customer orientated advanced planning
From bulk stock holding to kitted products, Righton Fasteners offers fixed term contracts (six and twelve months) to maintain continuity of supply and – thanks to its accurate forecasting – it can secure a competitive price for customers throughout the term of the contract. Through tailored solutions, the company can offer stockholding of customer parts – on customer codes – and pre-pack orders to ensure ‘just in time’ deliveries.

Dedicated account manager
Righton Fasteners’ sales team is able to service the fastener requirements for all customers, offering solutions for day-to-day business needs. The company assigns a dedicated account manager to work closely with its customers’ own purchasing teams and provide them with the latest information on market trends, material costing, and capacity booking to ensure continuity of supply.

Five stage quality assurance process
As each of its projects are unique, attention to detail is key at every stage. With customer service at the forefront of Righton Fasteners’ approach, its five stage quality assurance process sees products checked at goods in, picking, packing, put away and dispatch. R&D led innovation, combined with technical support, ensures quality is consistent at every stage of the customer journey.

First class service
“We pride ourselves on our commitment to customer service,” states Nicola proudly. “We are dedicated to continuing the development of our business and through our ISO 9001:2015 certification we are able to guarantee exceptionally high-quality products and service as standard.”
