Special frame plug for hollow bricks and blocks 13 November 2015

Apolo MEA Befestigungssysteme GmbH has received a European Technical Assessment (ETA – 14/0336) for its hollow block frame plug HBR 10 – a special nylon frame plug that has an extra long expansion zone of 90mm, for secure grip in perforated bricks and blocks.

HBR 10 exhibits high pull-out values and its distinctive anti-rotation wings prevent it spinning during the setting process. In combination with Apolo MEA’s special safety screws, which have a reduced diameter for easier screw-in and fast grip, the HBR 10 provides optimal performance.

The HBR 10 is suitable for façade installations, fixing of doors and windows, and wooden frames in general. Apolo MEA points out that the ETA for HBR 10 is only valid if it used with its special safety screw.

For a wide application range Apolo MEA offers three different screw versions – countersunk head with TX and PZ, as well as a hexagon head with pressed-on washer and TX.
