Fastener Fair USA announces welcome party 03 April 2019

Fastener Fair USA has announced more details for this year’s welcome party. Held the first night of the show at the GM Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit, the welcome party promises to be a networking event filled with music and fun.

The GM Renaissance Center, also known as the GMRENCEN, is seven interconnected skyscrapers, with the middle skyscraper being the tallest building in Michigan and the fourth tallest hotel in the world. Similar to the Cobo Center – where Fastener Fair USA will be held – the GMRENCEN is set on the Detroit River looking into Windsor, Canada, allowing for amazing views from every corner of the building.

“Connecting with colleagues and peers is an important aspect of the Fastener Fair experience and our welcome party is a fun way to build those relationships,” said Jessica Boweak, exhibition manager for organisers Mack Brooks.

This year’s party will be held in the dramatic 5-storey GM Wintergarden, which boasts an entrance and ceiling covered in glass, as guests celebrate the culture of the city through music and history. Tickets cost US$20 until 26th April (US$30 after and on-site), and are available through registration; welcome party tickets include entrance and refreshments. The GMRENCEN is located near the Cobo Center and accessible by a people mover train, keeping access easy for attendees and exhibitors.

Detroit is known as the ‘Motor City’ and is one of the biggest manufacturing hubs in the country, with companies like Ford, General Motors, and Whirlpool all holding a large presence in the city. This will allow for even more networking and knowledge sharing between exhibitors and attendees from a wide variety of industries at the show.

Fastener Fair USA brings together manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, OEMs, and end users of fastener and fixing technology. It is the meeting place for fastener professionals to see the latest technology and solutions, receive unparalleled education for all levels, and make valuable connections, all in a convenient location in the heart of the Midwest from 22nd May – 23rd May 2019.
