Keller & Kalmbach expands its European footprint 18 September 2020

Keller & Kalmbach Holding & Co KG has announced its intention to acquire the trading business of Fameco Holding AB as of November 2020 from its current private shareholders. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fameco is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and has over the years established strong commercial relationships with several important Swedish manufacturers. It has longstanding experience in delivering small parts (screws, bolts, washers, critical fasteners, etc) to demanding blue-chip customers primarily within the Swedish industry. Sales reached €18 million per annum in 2019.

Keller & Kalmbach, based in Munich, Germany, is well-known as one of Europe’s premier full service fasteners providers and will be able to enhance Fameco’s offering with state of art logistics, C-Part management systems and application engineering expertise.

This acquisition will improve Keller & Kalmbach’s ability to grow the business in Scandinavia and so further extend the European footprint. Dr. Seidl, CEO and proprietor of Keller & Kalmbach, noted: “We are excited with the quality and dynamism of the Fameco team that will be joining the Keller & Kalmbach family.”
