Würth sales grow 8.6% in H1 2016 06 October 2016

Würth Group’s sales volume grew by 8.6% year-on-year in the first half of 2016 to €5.9 billion.

Growth in local currencies amounted to 10%. Würth reported an operating result at €275 million, which it described as considerably on the positive side. The Group committed €450 million in capital expenditure during the period.
Würth said it experienced very strong growth in southern Europe linking to the positive developments of past quarters. Its operations in Germany reported 8.1% growth.
“All in all we are satisfied with the development of the Würth Group”, says Robert Friedmann, chairman of the central managing board. “Our multichannel sales concept is bearing fruit: Direct selling, brick and mortar stores, and e-business – Würth customers appreciate our presence.”
“Double-digit growth of the operating result is particularly pleasing. This is thanks to above average growth of 17% compared with sales. The Würth Group also reported an operating result of €275 million in the first half year.”
Würth expects sales to increase to around €11.9 billion for the full year.
