A pioneer in fastening systems 16 December 2022

Specialinsert is known within the fastener industry for its ability to create innovative fastening systems for a wide range of applications and sectors – with the company creating sector specialists that are able to work with customers in order to provide solutions across every market.

With headquarters in Torino, Specialinsert  has recently been through a process of reorganising its corporate structure, as well as its offices and sectors, including the introduction of specialists for specific markets. “Our sector specialists are able to network both with customers and with our internal technical team in order to disseminate our systems into applications across every industry,” explains Specialinsert Srl. “As a company we are very proud of our innovative capabilties and we feel it is important to work closely with customers to make sure the correct solutions are used for every project – whether it be an exisiting product or a new special item.”

Specialinsert’s commitment to R&D and innovation has also resulted in the company experiencing growth over recent years. “Whilst some companies may have struggled post Covid-19, we actually experienced a period of strong recovery and turnover growth. It is only recently with the Ukraine-Russia war; as well as political government instability; cost increases – especially raw materials and their scarce availability, etc; that we have seen setbacks in the market. However, thanks to the excellent planning of purchases we are still in a strong position.”

Even with these challenges, Specialinsert still believes there are plenty of opportunities within the fastener market to develop new applications. “The secret is being able to search for an innovative product or solution based on the the strength of the R&D department, which is essential,” states Specialinsert. “We are very proud of our R&D team, along with the design, prototyping and after-sales services that we can provide customers. We are convinced that these activities help build customer loyalty.”

The final aspect of Specialinsert’s service is its commitment to quality, which was underlined with the company achieving IATF 16949:2016 certification back in 2018. “We are very proud to have achieved the certification, as it demonstrates our commitment to pursuing an approach based on the flow analysis, in order to minimise lead times and eliminate everything that does not represent value for customers. At Specialinsert we believe it is vital for us as a business to be recognised in markets as a supplier of a quality and high value.”

Specialinsert concludes: “We will try more and more to establish ourselves in markets as a producer of innovative solutions and, thanks to the IATF certification, we can now also offer our services in automotive niche markets. We do not want to go towards large consumption at low cost but rather be recognised in the various market niches that matter.”
