SIPA expands product range 22 December 2022

SIPA Srl is committed to continuously developing its product range and services, with the Italian producer recently adding repair plates, as well as straight and angled plates with slots, to its wide product portfolio.

When it was initially founded in 1989 SIPA was based on the production of plates and angles for hardware, with the company progressing to focus on a wide range of other items – before developing steel cutting and plastic moulding services for third parties. “We have always looked to grow as a business by adding new products that can provide opportunities in new or existing markets,” explains SIPA. “These new additions underline that even in the current market situation we are keen to grow where possible.”

A big step in the company’s production capabilities came in 2006 when it introduced washer production. “This gave us the ability to produce a variety of sizes to industry standards. Through a targeted marketing campaign, and participating at trade fairs across Europe, we were also able to expand into new markets abroad,” mentions SIPA. “Going forward we are confident we will be able to grow even more within the washer sector in the future, especially with the introduction of duties on imports of certain items from China. This should give us a good opportunity to further develop our market share within Italy and Europe.”

Within its steel cutting department SIPA has 30 automatic presses, with capabilities from 50 to 250 tonnes for cutting sheet coils. The company also has its own plastic pressing department, which is composed of 11 automatic presses, ranging from 50 to 430 tonnes – for pressing plastic material from granules. An additional 250 tonne bicolour press enables the use of two different materials or two different colours simultaneously.

“To add to this, we also have our mechanical workshop that consists of four work centres, three grinding machines, one lathe, one radial drill, one microdrill, one erosion bath and two wire eroders,” points out SIPA. “Thanks to these departments, and the experience of our employees, we are able to develop a mould both for steel and plastic articles – from a simple idea, a sample, or a technical drawing. We can also produce parts using moulds from other firms. Additionally, we provide all the necessary maintenance during and after production, which enables us to supply excellent product quality combined with competitive prices.”

SIPA is not just a producer, it also has its own 7,000m2 warehouse, which includes four automatic packaging lines for boxes and industrial packaging, as well as various manual packaging machines – to satisfy all customer demands. “Being a producer and distributor has put us in a strong position to handle the various challenges that have arisen over the last 24 months. For instance, thanks to our warehouse stocks of both raw materials and finished products, we have been able to fulfil orders to our customers very quickly,” explains SIPA. “The strength of our company is in the fact we are able to provide a 360° service with an excellent quality-price ratio and a fast delivery service.”

SIPA concludes: “As an Italian manufacturer we are synonymous with quality, service and competence. Furthermore, customers can count on our knowledge and know-how, gained from extensive experience in the markets, to provide the solutions and services customers’ demand. With this in mind, we will continue to consolidate our position as a producer and distributor in the domestic market, as well as look to grow our exports.”
