Gecko International Co has continued its strong performance within the market, with the business expanding its production capability to further meet customers’ needs.
Known as Gecko Fasteners, the company reported solid demand in the first half of 2022 and was able to achieve on time delivery, within 3 weeks, for 99% of its standard part orders for both Q1 and Q2.
“Under the global circumstances and raw material shortage in the fastening industry, we have seized the opportunity to expand our production capability and to further develop our visibility in the market,” comments Johann Nitsch, GM Europe & USA at Gecko Fasteners. “As a qualified professional manufacturer, we have also looked to strengthen our global networking and supply chain efficiency – maintaining a strong global network and a competitive lead time for injection moulded nylon products.”
Gecko Fasteners has been able to underline its reliability and strength in the current uncertain environment, with the company attributing its fast delivery of nylon products to its long-term commitment to process improvement. “A key factor in our service reliability is our own in-house tool shop, where we are able to produce custom parts within just 6 to 8 weeks,” emphasises Johann. “In addition, the production capacity at our factory in Shenzhen, China, has been increased massively through continuous automation. For instance, our plastic rivet production is fully automated – including 100% dimensional testing.”
Gecko Fasteners has branches in Germany, Spain, Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines, as well as distribution partners in Korea and India, and is planning for further branches in France, Scandinavia, and the USA. “We are a very proactive manufacturer and continuously look to expand our product range and our partnerships in the market,” explains Johann. “We want to cooperate even closer with our current and new partners to become even fastener, more effective and more cost-efficient.”
At the same time Gecko Fasteners will continue to focus on the quality of its products, in regard to both its
custom-made parts – which is a large part of its production – as well as its standard products that are produced according to high standard certificates such as IATF 16949.
“Through our highly reliable fastening solutions, with guaranteed quality products, we will stay on track with strong sales and meet our targets for the year,” highlights Johann. “Moreover, the current fast on time delivery achievement allows us to provide better fastening solutions to our partners and clients going forward.”www.gecko-fastener.com/EN/start.html
