Lederer GmbH recently expanded its logistics centre in north Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with the help of logistics specialist inconso AG and its inconsoWMS S system.
Lederer is a supplier of high-quality stainless steel fasteners, drawing and special parts, and efficient C-parts management. After expanding its existing logistics centre with an automatic storage and retrieval system – with up to 59,000 locations and extensive light goods and pallet conveyor technology – the company contacted inconso to help integrate a new warehouse management system.
The main focus was on optimising all goods flows connected to the production start of the automatic storage and retrieval system, as well as the new 1.5km long conveyor technology. Using inconsoWMS S, Lederer was able to standardise warehouse management processes; ensure flexibility through configurable workflows; and standardise interfaces ensuring quick integration into existing systems.
“With the sale of currently 40,000 in stock products, comprehensive logistics services, more than 100 C-parts management systems, an online shop, and our presence in many procurement portals, we ensure the satisfaction of several thousand retail and industry customers nationally and internationally,” explains Lederer.
inconso adds: “The implementation of communication interfaces in inconsoWMS S with ERP systems, material flow control, and conveyor technology, enabled an integrated logistics system that perfectly prepares Lederer for further growth.”
