CM Precision Components Ltd, a UK supplier of precision engineered components to the automotive and aerospace industries, has selected ProgressPlus as its new software provider.
After inheriting its old software system from a previous owner, CM Precision Components realised the system was outdated and didn’t suit the company’s current mode of operations. For instance, the system did not integrate with emails and it took a long time to find any information needed, which was making the business inefficient.
The new ProgressPlus software ensures information is readily available, easily accessed and acted on. Users are able to determine which jobs are profitable in order to fine tune and make better business decisions. Users can also access better information in order to operate with maximum efficiency.
Kieran Cooper, finance director at CM Precision Components Ltd, comments: “Better information is what is key to us. ProgressPlus has given us the detail we didn’t have before and traceability on products or parts. We can see exactly what we are buying, how much we are paying, and why we are spending more.”
CM Precision Components is planning to also use ProgessPlus’ Shop Floor Data Capture software, and when its new factory is built, it will introduce ProgressPlus for material tracking.
