New Stafa Kanban system 01 April 2020

Efficiency starts with undisturbed production, which is why Stafa Group has introduced its new Kanban system, which will enable customers’ inventory processes to be optimised.

Using advanced technology, including RFID, Stafa’s Kanban system can help ensure the continuous analysis of purchase data; that stocks are replenished on time to avoid production delays; and that when production changes occur the parameters are adjusted accordingly.

“In this way, we keep the processes efficient and the costs low,” explains Stafa Group. “Our Kanban System ensures significant cost savings in various areas, such as management, administration, stock and personnel costs, as well as packaging waste stream.”

Reliable solutions
Fastener products generally include a wide variety of items, which need to be managed and ordered on an ongoing basis in order to guarantee the continuity of the production process. No matter how advanced a machine is, without the right fasteners there is nothing to assemble. The production or assembly process then comes to a stop, with all its consequences.

The Stafa Two-Bin system ensures undisturbed production, because ‘just in time’ deliveries align the stock levels with the processes. “Our Two-Bin specialists continuously monitor off takes and adjust where necessary,” points out Stafa. “As a result, customers are assured of an optimal stock process. A permanent contact person also manages the data and interests. We believe that a personal approach is essential and that is how we have always worked.”

Stafa’s Two-Bin system offers customers a wide variety of advantages including:

  • The most modern technology by means of RFID.
  • RFID panel with display and touch screen on the Kanban rack.
  • Integration into existing Kanban systems.
  • Contactless and ergonomic activation of orders via RFID.
  • Modularly constructed and customer specific Kanban system.
  • Online portal for ‘real time’ data analysis, order overview and inventory management.
  • Reliable, flexible, fast and safe.

Fully automated
“With our innovative Kanban system, customers no longer need to order individual components – everything is fully automated,” says Stafa. “The RFID scanner detects empty bins and additional items are ordered immediately and delivered as quickly as possible. The display in the RFID panel also informs customers about the ordering process. With the touchscreen users can look up more data or make changes if necessary. Naturally, this information is also available via an online portal (PC, tablet, or mobile with Android).”
