CAN-ENG working with Mexican fastener company 08 February 2017

CAN-ENG Furnaces International Limited has been chosen to design and commission a 500kg/hour continuous mesh belt atmosphere furnace system for EJOTATF Fasteners de México, based in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

CAN-ENG’s new system is for the hardening and tempering of high volume speciality fasteners includes a mesh belt controlled atmosphere hardening furnace, oil quench system, mesh belt controlled atmosphere tempering furnace, post tempering cooling and advanced controls and monitoring system. The system has enhanced energy saving design features, including an integrated state of the art combustion system that includes self-recuperative burner technology providing significant heating efficiencies over conventional recuperative burner technology. The system is scheduled for commissioning in Quarter 3 of 2017.

Commercial and captive heat treaters have come to rely on CAN-ENG Mesh Belt Heat treatment technology for the processing of safety critical automotive fasteners. CAN-ENG’s continuous mesh belt heat treatment systems are recognised worldwide and have proven to meet and exceed the stringent demands of the global automotive industry. The integration of CAN-ENG’s Level 2 automation system track products’ status and collects detailed process data that is used for continuous process improvement, equipment diagnostics, processing costs analysis and inventory management. The systems are also fully compliant to meet the requirements of AIAG CQI-9 heat treatment system guidelines.
