Come to the point 15 May 2017

WAFIOS Umformtechnik will showcase its automatic pointer SKM at the 2017 Fastener Expo Shanghai – taking place from 22nd – 24th June – and extends an invitation to visitors to visit its stand to see a presentation of the SKM’s capabilities.

HILGELAND Pointers are suitable for chamfering, pointing and rounding of screw shanks. With the SKM, WAFIOS Umformtechnik GmbH designed a unique concept that is an option for the production of slots for clamping collars. An additional advantage for the operating company of this machine is that the SKM can run wet or dry, with or without coolant. Both are possible.

Finished parts are ejected free of chips. That implies a clean separation of finished parts and chips at the end of the production process. To increase the flexibility of this machine WAFIOS Umformtechnik provides an option, especially for the production of headless parts, with a camera system for positional feeding.
In addition to this machine, WAFIOS highlights at the Fastener Expo Shanghai are thread rolling tools for screw production, which are in worldwide use and setting new standards with applications demanding the highest milled quality. These include profiles for sheet metal screws, chipboard screws and plastic screws. Customers can also obtain licensed EJOT® rolling tools.
WAFIOS Umformtechnik experts will also provide information about the latest trends and give a deeper insight into new technologies. Martin Hoffmeier, senior executive manager sales at Wafios, comments: “We are looking forward to interesting discussions on the subject of precision parts forming machinery.”
