Forging machines from Schuler 23 December 2022

Schuler points out that its range of equipment for forging is as diverse as the products created on it, offering the right technology for every part to be forged – from component development to method planning and die making, to the commissioning of highly efficient machines.

Schuler’s technology can also be completely automated in order to increase process stability, output and availability. Its wide range of machines include hydraulic cold extrusion, ironing, and forging presses to mechanical knuckle joint, eccentric, and crank presses – each with and without servo drive – screw presses, drop and counterblow hammers, as well as wheel rollers. Not to be forgotten are the systems with a press force of up to 16,000 tonnes from company subsidiary Farina, which has been part of Schuler Group since 2018. The Müller Weingarten and Bêché brands are also included in the group.

For the digital transformation in machine and plant engineering, Schuler has bundled a wide range of solutions for networking forming technology in its ‘Digital Suite’ to increase productivity and availability. These include applications for monitoring operating status, press force, energy requirements, and cooling and lubrication circuits, ‘Track & Trace’ for following up components, and ‘Schuler Connect’ for rapid assistance in the event of a problem with the aid of augmented reality technology.

Most problems can be solved remotely, however, if it does become necessary to call in a Schuler expert on-site, the service team of around 800 specialists with locations throughout Europe, as well as in Brazil, Mexico, USA, China, India and Thailand is always close at hand.
