New multicolour warning light shows current machine status 01 May 2015

Warning lights on load monitoring systems typically show when a heading or thread rolling machine has been stopped due to an error such as a broken tool. The red light simply switches on. Such a warning light is a useful tool for the machine operator to tell them when one or more machines in their group need attention.

Schwer + Kopka GmbH & Co KG has developed the new BALED multicolour warning light, which can offer much more. The modern LED technology used inside BALED is capable of showing virtually any desired colour. When the machine runs in full production mode, the light will be green. A yellow colour indicates set-up mode, a blue light says the machine is running in unmanned shift mode, and a red light tells the operator that the machine is down. Other colour combinations or flashing colours can be used to identify problems such as lack of material, filled part bins, overdue inspection intervals or similar situations.

The LED lights are very bright and easily visible even from remote distances. The integrated magnetic foot allows the user to place the warning light in different locations such as on top of the monitor itself, the machine housing, or any other iron surface. The lighting body can be individually labelled, with a company logo or with the machine number as shown in the picture.
