wire® showcases the best in fastener manufacturing technologies 15 March 2016

From 4th – 8th April 2016 the world’s leading trade fairs wire® – the international wire and cable fair – and Tube® – the international tube fair – will simultaneously present technology highlights from their respective industries at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, Germany, for the 15th time.

The situation of the European steel industry is serious: Excess capacities on the global market, cheap imports from China, and massive pressure on prices, are giving producers in the industry a tough time. Nevertheless, most companies look to wire® and Tube® with optimism. At the shows the key players of these industries meet every two years to present their innovations, meet customers and close business deals.

Covering a net exhibition space of currently over 59,000m², wire will feature machinery for the production and finishing of wire, tools and auxiliary materials in process engineering, as well as special wires and cables. The trade fair will also cover innovations in measurement and control engineering, test engineering and special areas.

The international wire and cable fair will occupy Halls 9 to 13, 16 and 17 in wire, cable and glass fibre machinery, as well as wire and cable products and the wire and cable trade, while innovations in metal forming will be shown in Hall 15. Hall 16 will open its gates to mesh welding machines and spring making technology. So far over 1,280 companies from 51 countries have registered.

Hall 15 for fastener manufacturing technologies
More than 156 companies will present fastener manufacturing technologies in Hall 15. Technologies on show range from cold and hot forging machinery for all types of fasteners and complex parts, thread rolling and secondary operations, tooling, materials handling and transfer, inspection and packaging equipment, as well as process monitoring systems and simulation software. Leading European, American and Asian manufacturers are all strongly represented.
This special preview highlights the innovative technologies to be encountered in Hall 15 and provides an insight into developments from many of the leading manufacturers.
