Torque screwdriver with precise adjustment 21 October 2015

Felo-Werkzeugfabrik Holland-Letz GmbH has launched a new torque release screwdriver series for exchangeable screwdriver blades.

The German-based manufacturer of screwdrivers and bits says using the Felo Nm is safe, easy and virtually foolproof.

The required torque release value is set with an adjustment key on a laser marked scale, with the release being indicated by clear acoustic and mechanical signals. Unintentional over torquing is prevented by the patented Nm disengaging mechanism. When operated counterclockwise the mechanism is blocked and the patented torque screwdriver works like a regular screwdriver.

The patented Nm handle has a built in adaptor for screwdriver blades of all common drive types and sizes. Felo Nm handles also meet the applicable ISO standard 6789 for torque release tools and each item comes with its individual calibration certificate.

While ISO 6789 requires only 5,000 release cycles to be within the specified tolerances, Felo guarantees Nm to be within tolerance for at least 35,000 releases.

The Nm tools are available as single handles, covering 0.6Nm – 1.5Nm (green in colour), 1.5Nm – 3Nm (blue) and 3Nm – 5.4Nm (red) and in sets with customised assortments of blades, adaptors and bit holders. A range of VDE certified blades are also available separately.
